Gerard Butler surprised his fans by attending The Cannes Film Festival, even though he recently said in a video interview in Monaco, that he is avoiding Cannes this year, and that he is 90% certain that he wouldn’t attend.
It is clear that Gerard Butler decided to go with the 10% “why not?!” option at the very last minute. The guy is after all, entitled to change his mind.
The Festival de Cannes is a celebration of International film and cinema. Celebrities that attended the event, included Gerard Butler and Lindsay Lohan ; Gerard Butler’s neighbour Megan Fox , Russell Crowe, Tim Burton, Kate Beckinsale, Benicio del Toro, Kristin Scott Thomas, Javier Bardem, Mischa Barton and Kate Beckinsale.
As part of the Cannes Film Festival, Gerard Butler attended various charity events including the David Morris Amend Charity Luncheon at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France on May 17, 2010.
Gerard Butler also attended the amfAR’s Cinema Against Aids gala at the same venue on the 20th May 2010.
Gerard Butler also continued his support for Haiti, by attending the Artists’ For Peace & Justice Benefit on the same day.
