Gerard Butler is to appear in an adaptation of ‘ How to train your dragon’ as Viking chieftain Stoic the Vast. The story is written by Cressida Cowell, a British children’s book author. In a press release from Dream Works on Friday 29th of May, Jeffrey Katzenberg the CEO of Dream works said that they will produce the film in 3D and that the film will be released in the Cinema ( Movie theaters ) on 26th March 2010 (release date subject to change). Gerard Butler will be working alongside Craig Ferguson (The TV host of The late late show) in How to Train your Dragon. The two Scotsmen play best friends in the film, Craig plays the a character called Gobber, and Gerard Butler plays the role of Stoick the Vast.
